Day 1 Take 2

Well, I woke up this morning very motivated to do my Shred video and eat decently. I got up and had my usual bowl of cereal and put Parker down for a nap. I decided to do my workout up in the bedroom because Chris was busy playing with his stock account on the couch. I know this sounds weird but I don't really like to do my video in front of other people including my husband. I am totally fine if he does it with me but to be doing it alone and having someone stare is just weird. Well, I doing jumping jacks and Chris opens the door so I decide to scoot out of the way. BIG MISTAKE!!! I whack my arm on the dresser and it is instant throbbing. So here I go to sit with ice on my arm. Now hours later I am still really sore. Boo HOO!!

Breakfast: Cheerios Berry with skim milk
Snack: Nature's Valley PB bar
Lunch: Deli Meat (Chicken and Roast Beef) Handful of Crackers with Cheese, Iced Tea
Snack:
Dinner:
Daily Water Intake: 40 oz
Daily Exercise: 10 minutes of Shred until the accident occured.

Day 7, 8, 9 and 10 = Total Fail

Well here I go with my excuses. Chris's Mom was here and I was visiting with her and of course taking care of the little man. I was really bad at eating and my fitness. I haven't gotten on the scale, nor do I care to. I will start again on the weekend, but with Father's day it might not be the best time. Monday I will get back on board.

Day 6

I feel great today! I am starting to get more sleep at night which is a definite plus as far as exercise and nutrition go. I would really like to get into walking daily, but with the hot Florida sun, a black stroller, and the risk of baby sunburn I really don't get outside that much. I am on the hunt for a Baby Jogger City Classic or City Elite. It seems this jogging stroller has the most coverage as far as the sun goes. Another reason today is a great day is because my sister is home for the weekend from Miami! I am so excited for Parker and I to spend the day with her.

Breakfast: Cheerios with berries
Snack: Natures Valley PB bar
Lunch: Sweet Tomatoes, salad and muffins
Snack: n/a
Dinner:Cheese Quesadilla
Daily Water Intake: 50 oz
Daily Exercise: Does walking around the mall count?

Did I ever mention that I love my husband!

I was having a really bad day making good choices. The baby was super fussy, so we put him down a little earlier than usual. When I came back downstairs he said he would do my video with me if I wanted. So we set up and did it together. It was actually kind of fun. :)

Day 4

Yeah for the weekend! It is so great to be home with the whole family! It does make staying on track a little more challenging. Chris did tell me he would take Parker so I can do my video though, since I was a huge slacker yesterday!

Snack: n/a
Lunch: Roast Beef with Cheddar on a roll, iced tea
Snack: Wheat Thins and Almonds, iced tea
Dinner: We don't discuss!

Day 3 Big Slacker!

Today was Day 3 of my offical "Get Healthy" summer. I was a big slacker today. Not totally my fault though. I know, excuses! I had to take care of these medical bills that have been hanging over our head since the baby was born. So that is what I spent my time doing during the first nap time. For the second naptime, my friend Barb called and wanted to hang out. Of course, I couldn't resist seeing her and her little belly with baby Avery inside.

Breakfast: Cheerios with Berries, iced tea
Snack: n/a
Lunch: Sliced Chicken on a roll w/ lite mayo, iced tea
Snack: handful of wheat thins and PB, iced tea
Dinner: Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
Dessert: Pudding (Hey it's Friday)
Daily Water Intake: 60 ounces
Daily Exercise: Booooo!

Time for nap..

I just finished my very first day of The 30 day shred with Jillian Michaels. I have to admit that I wussed out at some points. After previewing the video I really didn't think it would be that bad. Boy did it kick my butt. I am sweating like a pig! It did make me motivated to do the full 30 days though. I will be back tomorrow to let you know how Day 2 of the shred goes.

Day 2

Yesterday, wasn't much of a start but I didn't snack and drank a ton of water which is an improvement. Today I am going to offically start my exercise routine. Parker is supposed to be napping, but he is up in his crib talking to himself. I am going to start my video in a moment. I will update later about that.

Breakfast: Honey Bunches of Oats with Skim milk, iced tea
Snack: n/a
Lunch: Roast beef w/ lowfat mayo on a roll, iced tea
Snack: handful of reduced fat wheat thins
Dinner: Tuna Helper with broccoli
Daily Water Intake: 20oz

Day One

After several attempts to take off these last few baby pounds with no luck, I am going to make myself accountable by blogging my diet and exercise. I am going to start with a small goal of 10 pounds by the time I go back to school in mid-August. (Although I hope to do more!) It is summer time and I have no excuse. Hopefully Parker will help me out by taking long naps and long walks. I am working on my husband to buy us a jogging stroller. We just returned from our vacation to NJ yesterday so today is a get ready day. Each day will look like the following:

Breakfast: Bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats
Snack: n/a
Lunch: Cheese Quesadilla with Salsa
Snack: n/a
Dinner: Tilapia, asparagus, and butter/herb pasta
Daily Water Intake:60 ounces
